Ultrasound Guided Manual Vacuum Aspiration

Ultrasound-Guided Manual Vacuum Aspiration (USG-MVA) is a safe and effective alternative method for surgical management of miscarriage. Unlike traditional surgical management, the procedure does not need to be performed under general anesthesia in the operating theatre and it does not require the use of an electric suction machine. USG-MVA is performed simply by the use of a specially designed hand-held syringe to apply suction to remove the tissue of the miscarriage.
