Short Biography
Dr. Olivia Chau obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Faculty of Medicine at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. After her graduation, Dr. Chau underwent extensive training in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Prince of Wales Hospital. She went on to obtain fellowships from both the Hong Kong College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (Obstetrics and Gynaecology).
Throughout her career, Dr. Chau has developed a special interest in reproductive medicine and the management of first-trimester miscarriage, with a particular focus on the use of ultrasound-guided manual vacuum aspiration. She is a member of the USG-MVA research team which has published numerous peer-reviewed papers in this area and has established this procedure in clinical practice. She was awarded the OGSHK Trainee Research award in 2023 for her work.
