Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET)
Frozen embryo can be transferred back after a failed IVF cycle or after a successful pregnancy. We can use natural or artificial cycle for frozen embryo transfer.
FET using natural cycle:
If you have regular menstrual cycle and checked to be ovulatory, you may be suitable for frozen embryo transfer in a natural cycle. Serial blood tests have to be done to determine the time of ovulation and the optimal time for thawing and transferring of the frozen embryo will be decided.
FET using hormonal replacement therapy:
If you have ovulation disorders or you need to plan your treatment around time constraints, we can create an artificial cycle for you. Hormonal medication will be given and the embryo will be timed for transfer when the uterine lining is of sufficient thickness. If you are pregnant, you need to continue on the hormone medication until the pregnancy is 10 weeks.
