Appointment - Public Service
Public services are provided only to patients who satisfy selection criteria set by the Hospital Authority and the government:
- Couple must be legally married
- Female partner must be a Hong Kong citizen
- Female age below 40 at the time of treatment
We will continue to provide comprehensive support for couples experiencing reproductive challenges. We encourage women over 30 years old to seek assistance at our fertility clinic as early as possible. Additionally, individuals who are in their late 30s are eligible for fast-track booking. In person - Please go to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 2/F, South Wing, Li Ka Shing Specialist Outpatient Clinic, Prince of Wales Hospital with a doctor’s referral.
HA GO app - Upload the referral letter and send it to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, Prince of Wales Hospital (https://www2.ha.org.hk/hago).
Infertile couples need to attend an introductory ‘Fertility Talk’, preparing for your fertility assessment and undergo blood tests and semen analysis.
Our infertility nurse will review the couple’s previous medical history and investigation results. We will expedite referrals for further medical evaluation and follow up as clinically appropriate, based on the women’s age, infertility history, investigation results and clinical needs. This can shorten the waiting time to receive appropriate treatment, including Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART)procedure.
Time from handing in referral letter to first doctor’s consultation: 15-20 weeks
After proper work up and assessment in LKS outpatient clinic and assessed by our doctor, eligible couples will be transferred to the ART Unit for counseling, signing consents and treatment scheduling.
Time for ART treatment:
OI+IUI： 4-8 weeks
IVF： 8-12 weeks
ART treatment will be started as scheduled.
